“Keep reading. It’s one of the most marvelous adventures that anyone can have.”

– Lloyd Alexander

As one of the world’s largest collection of pirated books and research articles, Z-Library has about 32,000 Chinese users among the student population alone, according to its historical statistics.

Z-Library has always provided official and volunteer-run services in the Chinese community. However, a few days ago, the volunteer services of the Z-Library Chinese community known as “Z-Library China” claimed they were shutting down.

Z-Library has 3 sections: social media used for announcements and promotions, websites connected to their digital assets such as databases, and their latest Z-Point project, collection of paper books.

And, Z-Library officials claimed they don’t have full control over the volunteers’ activities.

Z-Library China, operated by volunteers in China, has three public accounts across social media: Wechat official account (Chinese: 微信公众号), Bilibili (Chinese: 哔哩哔哩) account, and Zhihu (Chinese: 知乎) account.
